If I’m being honest, becoming HER isn’t something that just happens overnight. It’s not a one time glow up it is a journey.
And lately, I have been learning that the small habits I commit to daily are shaping me into the woman I truly desire to be.
These habits are helping me align, stay grounded, and evolve in a way that feels authentic not performative.
So I want to share 5 habits I’m intentionally working on that are helping me become the woman God placed inside me. And if you’re on your own evolution journey, you might just find a few habits you want to try too.
1. Curating a healthy morning routine
My mornings used to feel chaotic I would wake up late, rush through everything, and already feel behind. But now? I’m learning to be intentional with how I start my day.Nothing dramatic. Just simple, soft beginnings.
No one tells us how important having a morning routine is . I observed that I had better days on the days I was organized and had already set my flow for the by writing down what I would do for the day.
This realization hit harder when I read the book The Miracle Morning by Hal Erod . He spoke on how creating a morning routine helped him achieve all he lost and become successful in his career.
In his book he highlighted about 5 habits anyone can add to their morning routine to kick start their day.
This routine includes a set of actions , more like habits that should be followed regularly. In school we referred to them as timetable that guides how we use our time.
In the book , the habits are called Life SAVERS.
S- Silence
A- Affirmations
V- Visualisation
E- Excersise
R- Read
S- Scribble (journal)
I adapted 5 of them to have a healthy morning and get started for the day.
For anyone just getting started on personal growth, I would advise to start with one to three habits to avoid overwhlem. I also started with the habits I previously practiced but became more consistent with it.
You can also use a habit tracker or stack the habits according to the ones you find easier to do.
2. Waking up early
This one wasn’t always hard until I started sleeping late . I had always been a morning person but not just intentionally. I needed to be more intentional so I made up my mind to get back my morning .
Waking up early gives me that calm space to breathe, reflect, or even just exist before the world starts demanding from me.
I didn’t jump from 8 a.m. to 5 a.m. overnight. I started by waking just 30 minutes earlier than usual.
I usually wake up around 3 am to read or reflect before doing anything or speaking to anyone, that small shift changed everything I started thinking clearer, moving slower, and actually enjoying my mornings.
To help you get started with waking early , make the decision in your mind so your inner self aligns with your outer actions , set your alarm 30 minutes earlier than the time you actually want to be awake then also write down what you would want to achieve so you have a specific goal to work on while you’re awake.
3. Consuming Positive, Life-Giving Content
Intentional consumption became a thing for me since my journey.
I cannot overemphasize on the importance of being mindful of things we feed our mind with. our actions are often a translation of what goes on in our minds.
I used to scroll endlessly through drama and comparison traps. But right now ,I curate my feed and choose content that challenges and uplifts me.
I am intentional about what I watch, read, and listen to. Podcasts, books, YouTube , I filter for content that aligns with who I’m trying to become, not what’s just trending.
On action point that will help you, is to take notes of who you are becoming or what you are trying to get better at , intentionally follow creators , podcasts of people doing the same thing , this way your journey becomes easier because you’re seeing the vision, the motivation and instructions daily before you and there will be no room for distractions.
4. Planning My Tasks and Creating Routines
There’s a difference between being busy and being intentional. I was doing a lot, but not moving forward. Now, I plan my week with a simple system themed days, daily top 3 tasks, and realistic goals.
I give myself grace but I also stay focused. The goal isn’t to control every second, it’s to direct my energy where it matters.
Keep it simple. You don’t need an aesthetic planner. A rough outline of your top priorities daily is enough to keep you on track.
If you find it difficult to put your activities together, you should try giving your prompt to ai (artificial intelligence) to highlight it for you.
Remember to always choose the time frame or routine that works best for you . also take it one step at a time since you’re just getting started it might feel a bit overwhelming but with time you will get used to it.
5. Being Intentional About My Environment
The people, places, and energy around me play a huge role in how I show up. I started decluttering my space more often, organizing my space and putting up reminders of who I’m becoming.
And even deeper I became more mindful of who I spend time with, what I say yes to, and what I allow around me.Your environment should feel like peace.
Like a reflection of the version of you that you’re evolving into.
Don’t wait for perfection. Start by removing what feels heavy and adding things that spark peace and alignment.
Becoming HER is a choice you make every single day in the little things.
These 5 habits are helping me align more with purpose and peace, and I hope they help you too.
So tell me what’s one habit you’re currently working on or want to start building?
I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
